DIY Stripe Coasters Weaving Tutorial (PDF+VIDEO TUTORIAL)
This PDF pattern offers video tutorials to complate 10 plaid coasters.
plaid coasters.: 10 x 12cm
((Skill Level: BEGINNER FRIENDLY))
This is perfect for those who are new to weaving. You can weave a bunch of colorful plaid coasters.
The best part about this pattern is that it's quick to complete. The plaid pattern has all the warp and weft yarns visible, so it takes less time to weave than tapestry weaving, where the warp yarns are hidden between the weft yarns.
You don't need to have any weaving experience to complete this project.
There are ten patterns to weave. The patterns are organized in order from easiest to hardest, so it's best to start with the first pattern and work your way up. Videos explain every step of the process, from preparing to weaving to finishing, so it's easy to complete.
Materials needed:
- Weaving Loom: It should be at least 10 ×15 cm weaveable. If you don't have any weaving loom; don't worry. You can make a paper weaving board using a template on the last page.
- Header Yarn: Use yarn 4-5 mm thick.I recommend cotton yarn as it unravels easily.
- Yarn: Use yarn 4-5 mm thick in at least 4 colors. The sample was completed with 5 colors. Use the same type of yarn for both the warp and weft.
- Sheet of paper(A4 size): Print out the weaving template.
- Tapestry Needle: A needle with a curved tip is easier to weave.
- Scissors: You can use any kind of scissors, but I recommend cutting only the yarn to avoid dulling it.
